Flojet Water Pumps

Pump water directly from a 5 gallon bottle into your espresso machine, coffee brewer, refrigerator ice maker or sink mounted drinking water faucet. Suction wand and hose assembly with On/Off switch as well as universal seal cap that fits most bottles are included for smooth operation.

This pump is self priming and will eventually run dry; adding an accumulator tank to your setup may resolve this problem.

Types of Pumps

Pumps can be found in many applications and come in various shapes and sizes, from those intended to move liquid to those designed to circulate air or gas through filters. Pumps may be measured in terms of horsepower, volumetric flow rate or suction feet (or meters) of head; typically their net positive suction head requirement (NPSHr) must exceed their maximum available head in order to prevent cavitation from occurring.

Some pumps generate their own power, such as the hand-operated community pumps used to pump water in rural areas of developing countries. These affordable models use Bernoulli’s principle to convert kinetic energy to pressure for reliable operation.

Air Operated Diaphragm (AOD) pumps like the Flojet G57 are popular with car wash owners who rely on compressed air for moving liquids such as soaps, presoaks and tire cleaners. These space-saving pumps feature a patented shuttle valve to prevent stalling while their polypropylene bodies feature high quality elastomers for outstanding chemical resistance – perfect for locations where electrical wires cannot reach.

Air Operated Diaphragm (AOD) Pumps

Air operated diaphragm pumps are reliable and easy-to-use pumps designed to manage a range of chemicals, viscosities, and flow rates, from spraying, transferring, filtering and dispensing.

At the start of a suction cycle, compressed air fills one of the pump’s fluid chambers and creates a vacuum, pulling on one diaphragm while also pushing liquid from its inlet manifold past an inlet valve ball and into an adjacent liquid chamber. Atmospheric pressure forces liquid from this source directly into another nearby fluid chamber – simultaneously initiating its suction stroke.

Repeating this same process during discharge ensures AODD pumps are intrinsically safe, as their air drive ensures they won’t shut down under pressure like electric powered pumps do. Furthermore, mobile frames can be mounted for added flexibility and they have less leaking potential as their internal ball check valves don’t feature flaps that block off air flow; plus an exhaust muffler can be removed to port its exhaust port without needing deadhead protection devices for use submersed in hazardous locations or submerged under water.

Electric Diaphragm (EDP) Pumps

Electric motor-powered fluid pumps use mechanical movement to pump fluid. A motor drives a diaphragm to reciprocate, changing chamber volume. As it rises and falls, opening and closing four one-way ball valves. This back and forth movement ensures continuous inhalation/discharge of fluid, creating less pulsation at its outlet.

These pumps are lightweight and user-friendly, with few moving parts that make them simple to use and maintain. Furthermore, they can operate efficiently in harsh environments while being intrinsically safe (IS).

No matter your chemical transfer or liquid starch processing needs, these pumps offer reliable operation across many applications. Their sealless design eliminates leakage and maintenance concerns for effortless industrial wastewater and carbon black processing applications as well as longer maintenance intervals with reduced pulsation levels.
